Your problem
He burns off energy. But he can't settle.
Every dog needs to burn off energy, and every dog also needs to learn to settle. We give them walks, toys, training classes. We rarely teach them to calm down next to us.
Doga is a simple answer: ten minutes a day, a mat, your dog and you. You do your yoga. He learns that this moment is calm, predictable and pleasant. No special equipment, no flexibility needed.

After the long walk: eight poses in a row, from the stroking twist to rest and namaste.
Days 1 to 7 · Getting used to it
Series 1 only, 3 to 5 minutes. Goal: your dog comes to the mat on his own.
Days 8 to 14 · Stretching
Series 1 and 2, 5 to 10 minutes. Goal: he stays near you during your stretches.
Days 15 to 21 · Play and settle
All series adapted to his profile. Goal: he falls asleep during the final rest.
Safety first
Never a forced pose. Ever.
In this book, you do the yoga poses. Your dog joins in his own way: he lies down next to you, gets a massage, goes under a bridge, answers a simple cue. We never bend a dog into a position and never hold him on the mat.
The 7 golden rules
- Ask your vet before starting, especially for a puppy, an older or overweight dog, or one recently operated on
- Puppies: no jumping and no weight on the hind legs until they have finished growing
- No forced handling: he can leave the mat whenever he wants
- No session around meals: wait at least an hour
- Short-nosed breeds: short sessions, cool room
- Non-slip floor, and sessions of 5 to 15 minutes
- Stop at the first sign of stress, and always finish on a pleasant moment
The three-second rule
For any contact, rest your hand for three seconds, take it away and watch. If he comes closer or pushes your hand, carry on. If he moves away, respect his choice.
What science says, and what it doesn't
Honest, sorted into three levels.
This book promises no miracle. Every claim is sorted by how solid its evidence is.
Reward-based methods stress dogs less than punishment-based ones (2020 study on 92 dogs). That's why this book uses reward only.
Stroking a dog for 10 minutes lowers cortisol in humans, and exchanged gazes raise oxytocin in both (study published in Science, 2015).
It seems to reduce muscle pain in dogs. An encouraging signal, not proof.
No study shows that doga treats a dog's anxiety. It offers a calm moment and positive contact, which is already a lot.

Questions
Before you start.
Do I need to know yoga?
No. You do the yoga; your dog joins in his own way, without ever being manipulated.
How do I get the book?
Right after purchase, through a download link. PDF readable on phone, tablet and computer, and printable.
My dog won't keep still.
That's common in young dogs. Do the session after a real walk, shorten it and use a lick toy.
From what age?
Series 1 and 4 suit any age. For the poses marked "growth finished", wait for your vet's approval: it ranges from 6–8 months for very small breeds to 18–24 months for very large ones.
My dog is old or has arthritis.
Stick to series 1 and 4, on a thick mat, with your vet's approval.
I have several dogs.
Start with one at a time. With several, excitement rises fast.
He growls during a massage.
Stop without scolding him: he's telling you something is uncomfortable. If he does it again in the same spot, see your vet.
Does doga treat my dog's anxiety?
No, no study shows it. It offers a calm moment and positive contact, which is already a lot. Doga does not replace a vet's advice.
Is it available in other languages?
Yes: French, English, Spanish, German and Italian. Choose the language of the PDF just before you buy.
